No problem, we can do without Lille.
No clue on what you are talking about.
Yeah, the same amount of time with DA14 right?
Sermilan already answered you. Do you really think DA14 was discovered 1 week ago? 1 month? 1 year?
Ever seen the dark side of the moon?
The moon has no atmosphere or wind, the amount of craters tell a story.
Or do you know about this Earth impact?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicxulub_craterYes I already did saw the dark side of the moon. Do you have any idea of how long those craters are there?
And by not having an atmosphere the moon is much more vulnerable.
Also, by not having it those craters will be there until the end of time because there are no winds as you correctly said.
The atmosphere alone can destroy most of the stuff that is coming towards us. (ofc not big giant asteroids)
The asteroid that hitted Russia (around 17 meters wide) had the equivalent power of 30 Hiroshima atomic bombs when it exploded by entering the atmosphere.
"The meteor above western Siberia entered the Earth's atmosphere about 9:20 a.m. local time (10:20 p.m. EST Thursday) at a hypersonic speed of at least 33,000 mph (54,000 kph) and shattered into pieces about 30-50 kilometers (18 to 32 miles) high, the Russian Academy of Sciences said."
Never knew about that chicxulub crater. As I understood in the link you posted theoricaly two asteroids hitted being one about 170km wide and the other around 60km, pretty big difference huh?
The fact that nobody said anything about the DA14 impact is very worrying.
There is a very good explanation for it; Imagine if this asteroid would really hit our planet and this situation would be announced to the world.
Do you really think it is a good idea causing panic all over the world while something could be done to avoid the asteroid come across the Earth?
Opinions I guess.
