we have strict gun laws in uk and we still have our police without guns. There was a vote some years ago by the police and they voted against carrying guns. We have an Armed response team but our regular Bobbys (police) have never carried guns and so may it continue.

I look at other countries especially america were they approach every car or person with their hand near their holstered gun. Why... because everyone else has guns. Why do we need to have guns.
