Hi,

I'd like to drive offline on new tracks (training related  ), does anyone know how to do that ?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,
Joe

First, you need to download those layouts (to LFS/data/layout folder). You can do that by:
a) downloading them from this thread or
b) downloading them when you are on the server and those particular tracks are on. Press SHIFT + U, you'll have the menu where on bottom right is an option to save the layout.

Second, go to single player mode (NOT hotlap mode), choose Aston, for example. Press CTRL and you'll have "X" and "Y" options next to each track. Press "X" on Aston Cadet, for example, and the list of layouts on Aston Cadet will appear bellow. Simply choose the one you want and that's it :)

Set what you want: quali, race with only you or race with AIs.

Hi Sermilan,

Many thanks, I've done it, but it doesn't work

The "X" and "Y" appear, but when I choose a track, LFS says "no checkpoint", and I can't have laptime.
The tracks are just "open", but there is no path on it (don't know if I'm clear).

I downloaded the two versions of extended tracks, but in zip files, there are only "png" files...

Thanks for your help :D

Did you put these files in the layout folder?
As far as I know these files belong to a specific selection. For Instance I have a layout file in which it says KY3Y so I have to select KY3 and the Y. When I select this there appears the file name below "Layout" which I have to click on to be loaded.

This also works on Hot Lapping.

PNG are just the track images, you need to download the LYT zip.

Thanks, understood :D

Indeed, I didn't download the lyt files

Sorry about that, but in this thread, I only see LYT file, not ZIP http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=73903

Anyway, I'll download them right now.

Joe

The very first post says at the end;

Code:
Attached Files
OpenTrackLayouts20110808.zip (71.5 KB, 383 views)
:-? :x
