an ow car on s2 is that a first... my pick for a single sitter would have been a FOX but FBM is a bit of a challenge with the clutch but will see

FOX is already at FOX Junkies and I don't want to interfere with that. Besides, the FBM matches quite nicely and its a demo car too... Which I hope, can be driven by almost everyone.

And yes its a first but I don't see any other options to provide single class.

Another hit right in the target imho I really enjoyed racing fbm on ctra, it will be awesome here too

Great idea, but to many crashes.

However, i'd rather like f1 instead of fbm. Quite a few crashers would take themselve out at start already.

As an idea, yes, but in practice with the current amount of bad players, no, I remember 4 races in a row being crashed now (as you might have seen in the chat) so in the after noon I went to GTR instead.

I also have this some kind of shifting bug, when I want to shift up from 3 till 4 and higher, it jams. Takes time, is distracting, annoying, makes me angry, impatient, agressive, wheel and pedals flying through the room, scared kids, broken windows, angry girlfriend.

Ah well I don't think FBM and me will be close friends

Okay for me while accelerating, but not very suitable for braking (especially when it downshifts while car entering in a corner, can cause a spin).
I'd prefer BF1!

Never heard of it, only with FJR. (Wut? Restricted FO8).

Ouch.. FJR is bi** to shift gear... basically you *have* to use clutch there. Which sucks if you ain't got clutch pedal.

Oh.. on a note: Skagen should be banned from FBM events. He even made aliens turn green with his lap times!!

Its not the car.

FBM is a tricky car, like any other OW if you are not used to them. And most of the people are not used to open wheelers, so it causes alot of crashes unfortunately.

I just love FBM in Aston and Kyoto, I had a good time with skagen there.

People just need to pratice a little more and get used to the later braking points.

I felted like a noob yesterday. What a disaster

Wow, really loved the FBM racing yesterday. Light car, slicks, but not too much power. Very aggile which made for some good racing, and outrageous overtaking manouvers. Absolutely loved it!
I hope to see more FBM events on the S2 server. It's a shame the OW server is empty all the time. And when there is people on the server, there are too many classes to race so no real racing or competition within the same class as it was on the S2 server.


You just need to find the line that allows you to preserve as much speed as possible throughout the lap. And a setup you're comfortable with helps alot on your bravery. Yesterday I just drove my GT2 lines most of the time, so I kinda cheated

Try this when you want to change a gear up:
1. press and hold shift up button/pedal
2. release throttle pedal shortly

Yep... 1st->2nd just hit higher gear (and keep it presse) at some 80% revs, and when it hits rev limiter it'll change into 2nd.
From 2nd+ as sermilan said - press gear 'up', hold it like that.. and quickly blip (release 1/2) throttle.

It's OK. We are all aging.

For the upcoming weekend I changed requirements to join the track. You need 70% safety rate to actually be able to select and drive FBM.

This way I try to prevent that people who are just to new for the servers can try these races on F1GP Sundays. Maybe I up it to 75 or 80% but I have to see how it goes....

If you want to be involved in less crashing at start you simply need to have a quick laptime on LFSW or servertime (for custom tracks), that way you be further up on the grid because the grid is sorted on everyone's personal best time. No good personal best? Then you end in the back between the other inexperienced people.

But 70% rate? Almost everybody has 70% of rate, am I wrong?

New people to LFS not, they get an initial rate of 65%.

And it maybe doesn't sound like much but there is really just a low amount which causes the majority of problems. But like I said, maybe I have to review it. First check if this gives improvement already.

Let's say like safety at least 5+ and !ex 250 minimum.

This is getting too crashy, too nooby, too childish. I must really admit, it's hard to stay calm when you get crashed round by round by people not able to use brakes and brains.

As long as this event will take place every F1 day, I will ignore cargame server in future. Sorry, but especially with admins offline, this server is pure chaos with FBM only.

Server was stuck at westhill rev and each and every time if u used brakes at t1 u got rammed from behind...

My safety rating went from 6 to 4....

Note: pleaze pay attention to teho gp jenson and teho gp zupi. They crash people all the time, block under blue, and lol about it....

IT happening the same as the previus sunday, totaly chaos to drive a few clean laps

Still was when I connected after about 16 races there

Guess something is wrong but fortunately manually changing track still works.

Also GT3 is available and chat_s2.php doesn't work.

I tried to !end the race. Didn't work. Tried to call Deef, number was out of service. Left a message on FB. That was all I could do.

Another great FBM sunday.

The usual start mayhems and some rookies trying to drive like legends (me included ) but all in all great fun and fair racing
