Yesterday evening (wednesday), tried to connect... failed several times, managed after all.. but ping was going bezerk, even upto 10sec!!!
.. other servers (non-cargame) - normal. Internet connection to other sites - normal...

This already happened once few weeks ago.

Seems like some inter-provider links were hosed or something...

It is... But it's still an old IP. I moved everything to a more powerful server like three months ago

It was just my cat! He pulls out one of the cables from the TAE-type telephone jack. The cable lokks like pluged but it wasn't I noticed later!

hm sorry guys, i so wanted to race again today after long break,
but somehow my connection failed and failed over and over again
and i got kicked out of the servers every single time. even tough
my connection itself is stable and very quick (download @ around 100mbit/s)
damn, i'll give it a try tomorrow again

Thats because the datacenter has an interlink problem with Frankfurt. So everyone connecting by Frankfurt fails.

But most people don't understand what I'm talking about anyway, they think the complete internet lays at the end of their street

Around 2007 as far as I remember when i got ADSL internet, i've learned about traceroute .... lol

Some people cant figure out what's going on because they dont care, because they dont wanna know, because they have no free time etc etc
... some others take their problem to the bone stripping apart any possible solution learning new things at the same time

Connection problems since 12 o'clock from here as well (Germany, Munich, Vodafone VDSL). I got several "You are lagging..." messages on the server whilst half of the grid was randomly disappearing.

I figured it out that there have to be problems with the server, because counter strike did work well later that night. I guess i just need to try again later (;

No there was nothing wrong with the server.

If there is an accident on the highway and you are in a traffic jam because of that you don't say your car broke down do you? Thats my point here.

Everybody could race on the server(s) except everything east of the server location (Paris).
